Firstly, thankiew those that made the effort to come down for the meeting on sat, and those that messaged us suggestions.

secondly, we came out with a plan.
ok. thou not veri special or interesting, but it is wad majority agreed on and i hope that you guys can realli enjoy yaselves. it is up to you guys to make it successful too!! =]

9AM: REPORT AT HABOURFRONT MRT STATION
then according to the no. of ppl present, we will purchase the movie tix for afternoon.
please do not to be late.

ok, we will go over to catch a movie (i will list down a few and i need you guys to vote.)

6PM: DINNER!!
we will pack food (from ani food courts or restaurants there), then we will head to the
rooftop to eat!! (romantic neh~haha)
we will also prepare some after-dinner games.
and we guys can chat chat and chat. take photos. wadeva you guys wanna do.

as you guys are mostly free on the 1st of dec (please dun plan other things for that dae), we will hv class outing. for those that are goin back to their homeland, i sorry bout this. but i dun think after that dae will be gd, cos you guys might hv plans to fly all over the world. and the latest paper ends on the 25th (betta not affect their exam mood), and there will be students who have signed up to go overseas with the skl for exposure.
so i carn think of a betta date than 1st dec. (hope that you guys wun do last min shoppin for those who are goin for prom. kp that dae available.thanks)

ok. and i need suggestions. i dun wish this outing to be a-few-ppl-plan stuff. i hope you guys can contribute too!! this is our 1st outing guys!! (sori for the delay till now. but i guess now then you guys got the mood to play ba! =p)

hey class... anyone up for class outing on one of these few days, perhaps on youth day?

well, we will be really busy after getting back our mid year results until the a lvls, so might as well have our outing asap. i think it would be good for us to relax a bit since our mid year just ended, and take advantage of this long weekend.

so where you all wanna go? east coast park? bowling? karaoke? pool? lunch or dinner? post your ideas and comments in the tagboard.

if you guys really can't make it, well...... shall see which other days when we're free. perhaps during national day holidays. or after our a lvls.

anyways... mid year is over. relax for these few days, and we shall all switch to full mugging mode & do our best for prelims & a lvls!!

Hey peeps. i found another cip event which we all can do. i think its gonna be really fun! U all got receive email from brian? regarding a cip dat we can do on a new year's day celebration. please submit ur names to me asap! leave a tag or sms me.

2008 is right around the corner and what better way to welcome the new year than to do have
loads of fun AND do your part for the community at the same time? The Youth Club @ Boon
Lay is organizing a New Year's Eve countdown party for the Boon Lay neighbourhood. This will be a large event with an expected turnout of 30 000.
For the 5th year, the Club aims to recapture that same magic, by organizing a year-end countdown again. However, we have decided to do away with the usual one-stage performance and come up with the refreshing concept of a street-party.

So, why miss out on the excitement? Be part of this and make a difference!

We need many volunteers to make this event a roaring success, and we hope that you will be
able to sign up. It is highly encouraged that you and your CCA group can come down together as a CIP activity and have fun together at the same time!

The details of Countdown 2008 @ Boon Lay are as follows:

Date/Time: 31 Dec 2007 (Monday), 5pm – 1 Jan 2008 (Tuesday), 2am
Venue: Blk 215 Boon Lay Place (and communal areas in the vicinity)

A.Transport items for goodie bags, lucky draw, non-perishable refreshments (shifts of 5)
B.Pack goodie bags
C.Distribute flyers / put up posters, banners, cardboard flames, footprints
D.Distribute goodie bags
E.Move barricades
F.Ushers for main crowd – give directions, give out party masks, sweets
G.Mascots to publicize and give flyers at Chinese Gardens, Lakeside and Boon Lay MRT (5 each)
H.Manning of 3 helium balloon tanks and giving out (5 each)
I.Backstage security
J.Holding Area security
K.Crowd control around stage – guide artistes / VIP to stage
L.Misc. (Back-up)

You may sign up as a volunteer by emailing your name, contact number, preferred role(s), school & class (for CIP) to boonlayyouthclub@gmail.com by 30th November 2007. If you are volunteering for the actual event, we’ll be sending the volunteers to common designated locations. (For example, those living around bishan area will be dropped off at bishan mrt.) 1. Sandcastle Building
Become facilitators or helpers in a sandcastle building event for the less fortunate

Sell food and drinks at school canteen (e.g., fried food, brownie, ice cream, etc, open to suggestion)

3. Yong-En Care Centre visit
Visit old folks houses
Do gardening, spring cleaning etc. Depends on what centre wants us to do.

Class outing on this coming Sunday (18 Nov) is CANCELLED.

Reason is because many people cannot make it on that day.

The outing will instead be held on a date which everyone of us will be free. It will be after OSLE. So keep a lookout on this blog. (:
